感謝到底是哪個字啦！
常常同學會學到很多同義字，但其實在外國人的使用習慣上，常常意思會有所不同，如果同學使用錯誤的單字就會鬧出笑話。

thank (n./v.) 感謝 + 人 + for N./Ving
🡺 thank是感謝人，若要感謝事情，後面再接for+原因 即可。
I really thank you for giving me a ride.（我真的很感謝你載我一程。）
I must extend my heartfelt thanks to you.（我必須表達我對你衷心的感謝。）
appreciate (vt.) 感激 + N./Ving
🡺 appreciate不能感激人，只能感激一件事情。
I appreciate being consulted.（我很感激能徵求我的意見。）
I really appreciate your help.（我很感謝你的幫助。）
也可以用片語beV appreciative of N.表示感激的意思
另外appreciate還有升值；欣賞的意思
His talent for art was not appreciated.（他的藝術才華無人賞識。）
The yen is expected to appreciate against the dollar.（日圓對美元預期將會增值。）
