part 2

Describe a website you often visit
you should say
What it is about
How you found out about it
How often you visit it
And explain why you often visit it
If I had to pick one site that I visit religiously, it would have to be Yahoo! News. Now, I know it might seem a bit old-school to some people, but it’s actually a total powerhouse when it comes to news aggregation. It basically pulls in headlines from all over—everything from high-stakes global politics, how many homers Shohei Otani have hit, to the latest nerd tech breakthroughs—and puts them all in one place so I don't have to go hunting for them.

As for how I found this website…well, I actually stumbled upon it years ago because it was the default homepage on my very first laptop, and I guess the habit just stuck. But the real reason I’ve kept it as my go-to is the sheer efficiency of it. As a teacher, I’m constantly pressed for time, so I need a 'one-stop shop' where I can get a bird's-eye view of world events in under five minutes.

Now in terms of frequency of visiting this website, I usually flick through the headlines at least twice a day; once over my morning coffee and again right before I head to bed.

More importantly, I must say there are a number of good reasons to browse Yahoo! News from time to time. It’s become an essential part of my routine, not just for staying informed, but for gathering fresh, real-world examples that I can actually bring into my English classes to share with my students. Also, when reading the news online, I could at least temporarily unhook myself from the intense study and work. At the end of the day, if I didn't have that quick daily digest, I would feel completely out of the loop with what’s happening in the world.

If I didn't have... I would feel...
